The BIG Shim™ is the follow-up to the original Shim™. Designed with a stronger cover than the original, the BIG Shim™ can generate the same predictable motion and control as the original, but on a heavier volume of oil.
This addition to the product line will help tame flatter patterns when they are fresh, while still offering a smooth transition as they begin to break down and open up. So I will start by saying that our son is part of the team over at BIG so we have had access to most of their equipment since early on. They worked with us on outfitting our Open Champs team; so BIG thanks to Victor and the group up there (Pun intended). They really have a great group of people working on getting the bowling world some great new options. We loved the Shim and Shim Rekker that came out early on so when they released the Big Shim we were exited to see how it would complement the others in the Shim line. We were not let down. This is an incredibly versatile ball that just seems to find its way to the pocket; it doesn’t just find the pocket, it crushes it. You know the kind that sounds as good as it looks. After swapping all of our bowling equipment to BIG my wife and I have both improved in avg. I have been more consistent in my scoring and she has had her highest game and series since switching. I believe this is due to having equipment that is not only controllable but reliable as well. You guys hit it out of the park with this Big Shim and we can’t wait to see what is to come from BIG in the future.
